چکیده

Background: Many types of research have revealed that root canal anatomy differs by race and country based on various national populations, but no study has been conducted the UAE population. Objectives: Identifying most common morphology upper premolars in a group local non-local people UAE. Methods: Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images 215 intact maxillary were analyzed. The Pearson Chi-squared test two samples t-test applied. Results: Most first two-root formed (90%). Single-rooted teeth less (8%). Three-rooted represented low frequency 1.9%. second premolar studied this (52%) had roots. Almost all populations canals for both premolar. Only (0.2%) three-canal morphology. frequent among was type V. II (32%). In UAE, V (25%). addition, six uncommon anatomic variants (types 1-2-3, 2-3-2, 3-2-1, 1-2-3-2, 2-1-2-1, 3-2) discovered 3.7% 36.3% Conclusion: results suggest more quantitative approach to access cavity preparation population prevent errors iatrogenic damage when identifying canals.
